PBN awards Dominic Skrajewski with Rising Star Award
We are very pleased to share with you that our very own, Dominic Skrajewski, has been awarded the Providence Business News (PBN) “Rising Star Award”. This award is given to recognize young professionals who are demonstrating exceptional potential and making significant contributions within their respective industries. We are very proud of Dominic and his accomplishments over the past few years. He deserves every bit of this recognition; please join me in congratulating him and celebrating this achievement. There will be an award ceremony in April, but here are the highlights of the nomination, which describe why he was selected!!
Dominic joined JPS in 2020 as a Designer and quickly showed he was capable of so much more. The company developed a need for more Project Managers, he quickly stepped up to fill the void, and started managing the projects he designed. With some quick, on-the-job training, he rapidly excelled as a top earner for JPS as a Project Manager. In 2023, Dominic was invited to join JPS’s internal Leadership Team where he was able to contribute to the bigger picture of the company’s success. In 2024 Dominic was promoted to Chief Operating Officer as he was playing a part in every aspect of the company, from human resources, mentoring & overseeing design work, to managing multi-million dollar projects. Dominic is on an upward trajectory at JPS, and has been a big contributor to the company’s success over the last 4 years.
To list just a few examples of his contributions, Dominic has helped to create & maintain processes at JPS, often leading project management trainings, and mentoring new employees, all while managing multi-million dollar projects. Dominic was voted MVP by his co-workers in 2024, and won the Profit-Pro award for earning the highest gross profit revenue in 2023 and 2024.
Dominic is respected as a leader and often goes above and beyond to get things accomplished. Any employee in the company can approach him with a question and, 9 times out of 10, he has the answer or solution. He has a positive can-do attitude and has solved several problems, not just by his ideas, but also by being the person to implement and lead the change. In 2024, Dominic earned the Key Contributor award at the annual JPS All Hands meeting.
Dominic has been involved with many community service endeavors, including multiple Habitat for Humanity builds, and volunteering labor for an ADA-friendly playground in Portsmouth, RI. He has participated in multiple career fairs at his alma mater, Roger Williams University, and presented at various schools to talk about his experiences in the industry. Dominic is a member of the Aquidneck Business Connections Association, which meets weekly and connects professionals on Aquidneck Island and provides great networking opportunities. Dominic has attended events for the Greater Newport Chamber of Commerce on behalf of JPS Construction & Design and is always looking for opportunities to make community connections and advertise the company’s services and success stories.
